Choosing the Right Pilates Trapeze Table or Tower for Your Space
A Pilates trapeze table is the most versatile machine in a studio, but it's also the biggest. Our range covers three ways to get trapeze work into a room: a full freestanding table, a tower that attaches to a reformer you already own, or a unit fixed to the wall. Here's how they compare and which one suits your space.
Table, Tower or Wall Unit: What's the Difference?
- Trapeze Table (Cadillac): This is the full freestanding table, with an overhead frame for suspended work plus springs, bars and straps. It measures 2180mm long and 750mm wide, stands 2110mm high overall, and has 22 eyebolt points for spring attachment. It's the option for studios and clinics that want the complete trapeze repertoire on one dedicated machine.
- Half Trapeze Towers: A tower frame attaches to the end of a reformer, adding a push-through bar, springs, a roll-down bar and straps. A conversion mat turns the reformer into a table, so one footprint does the work of two machines. The reformer is sold separately.
- Wall Units: The trapeze frame is fixed to the wall and floor, sitting 600mm out from the wall, with a push-through bar that adjusts across 20 positions. It works alongside a Studio or Rehab Reformer, a treatment table or a standard exercise mat, and suits studios where floor space is the constraint.
Which Half Trapeze Tower Fits Your Reformer?
Each tower is built for a specific reformer range, so the right one depends on what's already on your floor:
- Reformer Half Trapeze Tower: fits our timber Studio and Rehab Reformers
- Evolution Reformer™ 1 Half Trapeze Tower: fits the Evolution Reformer™ 1 Low, Studio and Rehab
- Evolution Reformer™ 2 Half Trapeze Tower: fits the Evolution Reformer™ 2 Low and Studio
The towers aren't interchangeable between ranges and won't fit other brands. If your timber reformer was made before 2023, its fixed shoulder pads may restrict some exercises, and the retrofit kit for removable pads isn't included with the tower.
Wall Unit Set or Tower Only?
The Wall Unit Set includes the wall frame plus a box mat, two moon boxes and a foot strap. The Tower Only is the frame on its own, which makes more sense if you already have a mat setup or plan to use it with a reformer or treatment table. Both need to be fixed to the wall and floor, ideally concrete or brick, and we recommend installation by a tradesperson.
What You Can Do on a Pilates Trapeze Table
All of our Pilates trapeze tables and towers support leg springs, arm springs, push-through bar work, roll-down bar exercises, assisted stretching and core strengthening, and the full table adds trapeze exercises from the overhead frame. Adjustable springs and attachments let instructors run gentle rehabilitation programs and advanced strength work on the same equipment. That range is why trapeze work is so often used for rehab, instructor-assisted sessions and advanced training.
Made to Handle Daily Studio Use
Frames are rust-resistant stainless steel, with anodised aluminium push-through bars and safety stops at the top of the bar's rotation so it can't swing back uncontrolled if released. The towers and wall units use galvanised springs, which resist the hydrogen embrittlement that causes chrome-plated and plain steel springs to snap. The Trapeze Table is built on stable European Beech timbers and laminates with marine-grade vinyl upholstery, and can be customised in timber finish, vinyl and powder coat colour to suit your studio.
Every machine is Australian-made and carries a four-year warranty.
