Benefits of the Combo Split Pedal Wunda Chair
Split Pedals + Stainless Steel Handles
The Combo Chair pairs split pedals and a connecting rod for single-pedal use with adjustable stainless steel handles. You get a full range of standing, seated and inverted work from one piece of equipment. The corrosion-resistant handles hold up in high-humidity studios where painted or plain steel would degrade, and the ergonomic medium-density foam seat keeps you comfortable through strength, flexibility and balance work. Push it flush against a Trapeze bed and the exercise range expands again.
Adjustable Tension Tracks + Custom Springs
Sliding spring mounts run on tracks for fast, incremental tension changes. Pull the locking pin, slide to height, release. Two heavy (black) and two light (green) springs, each independently adjustable across five tension levels, give you 20 combinations from a single chair. Our galvanised springs also resist the hydrogen embrittlement that causes snapping in chrome-plated and plain steel springs, meaning fewer replacements, less downtime, and safer sessions for the person on the chair.
Built for Studios That Run All Day
Constructed from quality laminate, stainless steel and aluminium for a clean industrial look that suits modern studios. The 35kg frame stays planted through dynamic work without feeling bulky to reposition between classes. Marine-grade vinyl upholstery on the seat is hygienic, easy to wipe down between clients, and built to handle the wear of back-to-back sessions. It's the same material spec used on boats, so studio sweat and disinfectant aren't going to touch it.

Frequently Asked Questions
What makes the Combo Chair different from a standard Wunda Chair?
What makes the Combo Chair different from a standard Wunda Chair?
The Combo Chair has everything a standard Wunda Chair offers (split pedals, connecting rod for single-pedal use, adjustable tension) plus adjustable stainless steel handles. The handles open up standing, seated and inverted exercises that aren't possible on a chair without them, effectively combining a Wunda Chair and a high chair into one piece of equipment. Hence the name.
What exercises can I do with the stainless steel handles that I can't do without them?
What exercises can I do with the stainless steel handles that I can't do without them?
The handles add support for inverted work like handstands and pike presses, assisted standing exercises like pull-ups, tricep dips and side stretches, and seated arm work with added stability. They also give clients a secure grip during balance and rehabilitation work, where confidence matters as much as the movement itself.
Why stainless steel handles specifically?
Why stainless steel handles specifically?
Stainless steel resists corrosion in high-humidity studio environments where painted or plain steel would degrade over time. It also wipes clean between clients without the finish wearing off, which matters when handles get gripped by sweaty hands hundreds of times a week.
Is the Combo Chair suitable for rehabilitation?
Is the Combo Chair suitable for rehabilitation?
Yes, and the handles make it especially good for rehab. Clients regaining strength or balance can use them for stability through standing and transitional exercises, and the five-level tension adjustment on each spring lets you start light and progress gradually. It's common in physio clinics and rehab centres for that reason.
Can I use it like a regular Wunda Chair?
Can I use it like a regular Wunda Chair?
Yes. The handles are adjustable and don't get in the way of standard Wunda Chair work, so you get the full traditional exercise range plus everything the handles add.

How is the Combo Chair different from a Reformer?
How is the Combo Chair different from a Reformer?
Different equipment, different purposes. A Reformer uses a sliding carriage for lying, kneeling and seated work across a horizontal plane. The Combo Chair is compact, vertical, and built for standing, seated and inverted exercises, focused on strength, balance and stability in a smaller footprint. Most studios run both because they complement each other rather than overlap.
